Renewing A Domain Name
Domain names are not owned permanently, but rather are registered for a limited period of time, typically between 1 to 10 years. When that time period expires, the domain must be renewed if the owner wishes to continue using it. You may renew a domain name manually, or elect to use auto-renewal.
The maximum limit for registering a domain name can vary depending on the top-level domain (TLD) you choose and the policies of the domain registrar you use. For most TLDs, the maximum registration period is 10 years. However, some country-code TLDs (ccTLDs) may have different registration limits. For example, the maximum registration period for .co.uk domains is 10 years, while for .COM.au domains it's only 2 years.
It's important to note that registering a domain name for the maximum period allowed doesn't mean you own the domain name indefinitely. You will need to renew your registration before it expires if you want to continue using the domain name.
To renew a domain name:
Once you are logged in, navigate to My Domains.
Select a domain.
Click Renew Now near the upper right of the page.
Proceed to the Shopping Cart.
In the cart, select a Registration Length then click Continue.
In Checkout, select a Payment Method and click Complete Purchase.
Auto-Renewal
Domain auto-renewal lets you automatically renew your domain name registration before it expires. With this feature, NameBright will charge the credit card on file for the renewal fee and extend the registration period for another year or more, depending on the selected renewal term.
This is a convenient option for domain owners who don't want to risk losing their domain names due to forgetting to renew or missing the renewal deadline. By enabling auto-renewal, you can ensure that your domain name remains active and accessible without any interruption.

Domain Expiration
If you do not renew the registration of your domain name before the expiration date a few things will happen.
First, your domain name will no longer function as expected. The expiration of a domain name may interrupt your web content, and any email you have attached to the domain name.
Additionally, your domain status will be updated to “Expired” and you will have 30 days from the date of expiration of the domain name before the domain moves into the Redemption Grace Period.
If you do not renew or redeem your domain name, the domain name will be released from NameBright and become available for public registration.
