What Is URL Masking?
Masking a URL means displaying a different URL in the browser's address bar than the actual URL of the web page being viewed. This is also known as URL masking or URL cloaking.
URL masking is often used for various purposes such as hiding the true location of a web page, making a URL more user-friendly, or protecting the original URL from being copied or shared. For example, an affiliate marketer may use URL masking to make a long and complicated affiliate link appear as a short and simple URL that is more likely to be clicked by users.
URL masking does not work with SSL content. If you have a shopping car or any SSL protected area of your site, you should NOT USE URL masking. If this is the case, you may still utilize URL Redirect.
For URL masking or a URL Redirect to work, you must be using NameBright Nameservers.
